Cricket News sort by India Vs England 4th Test at Nagpur - Dec 13-17, 2012

England showed resolute defence right till the end to finish a dull opening day’s play at 199 for 5. India with four spinners in its bowling attack sent down as many as 97 overs on a pitch that was up and down because of cracks all around.

We now wait with bated breath for the start of the fourth test at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. India will go into the game with at least two changes, possibly more, as both Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj Singh have been removed from the squad.

This is not the way it should be going. This was to have been the series to avenge the humiliation of the 4-0 drubbing that the hosts suffered in England last summer. India, it was believed, had the opportunity to do to England what they had done to them, and Dhoni and his charges were chomping at the bit to get after them in conditions that would be hostile to the visitors.

The much-awaited team selection for the Nagpur Test has finally taken place. And while a few bold changes have been made -- a pleasant surprise –the core of the team still remains the same, which means there is little scope for improvement when India face England in the fourth Test at Nagpur.

Following a second consecutive Test defeat at home against India, the Selectors have finally taken some strong decisions by making three changes in the squad for the Nagpur Test.
